Saxophonist and woodwinds player Alberto Pinton has been performing on the European and international jazz and improvised music scenes since the mid-eighties.
Alberto Pinton Noi Siamo, his most recent group, has recently released a new cd of original compositions on Moserobie Music Production.
Previous recordings featuring Alberto Pinton's compositions include the Alberto Pinton Quintet, Alberto Pinton Clear Now, Dog Out, Pinton Kullhammar Zetterberg Nordeson, Alberto Pinton Nascent.
Alberto Pinton has an extensive sideman recording career, playing on all sizes of flutes, clarinets and saxophones, although he refers to the baritone saxophone as his main instrument.
Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, Boston in 1990 and with a Master's Degree in Saxophone Performance from Manhattan School of Music, New York in 1995. Saxophone and theory studies with Hamiet Bluiett, Joe Temperley, George Garzone, Joe Viola, Herb Pomeroy.
Alberto Pinton has toured and performed with, among many others, Kenny Wheeler, John Surman, John Warren, Bob Brookmeyer, Maria Schneider, Jerry Bergonzi, Lennart Åberg, Nils Landgren, Kenny Werner, Tim Hagans, Peter Erskine, Joe Lovano.
Originally from Porto Marghera, Italy, he currently lives in Stockholm, Sweden.
